Grant is well and truly invested in the Sothertons culture. He commenced with Sothertons in 1982 whilst still in his third year of completing a Bachelor of Business at Curtin University and was appointed partner in 1988. Grant is now the longest serving partner at Sothertons.
Grant has extensive experience in the areas of funds management, audit, Australian and International taxation, business services, digital and online business development strategies, family estate planning and risk mitigation strategy development and corporate advisory.
In the more than 30 years Grant has been in the industry, he has developed the skills and knowledge required to provide clients with consistently correct advice. Grant thrives off helping his clients to not only achieve results, but succeed. Grant places a high importance on building strong professional relationships with his clients and believes that with these strong relationships, comes greater success for both parties.
Grant has chaired several boards, including the Board of National Sothertons Group, Carpathian Resources Ltd and the charity Life Plan Inc. He has also spent time as a non-executive Director of the National Sothertons Group, Paladin Ltd, the Paramor Group of Companies, Ensurance Ltd and Knights Capital Management Ltd. He is currently Company Secretary for Knights Capital Group Ltd and the male lay community representative on the Human Research Ethics Committee of Princess Margaret Hospital.
Grants qualifications include a Bachelor of Business, he is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), is a Chartered Tax Advisor of the Tax Institute of Australia, is a Registered Tax Agent and has a Diploma in Financial Services which includes RG 146 Superannuation.
